For this Arizona homeowner, the goal was to create a teak shower floor that complemented the rich, natural tones of their mountain home while remaining practical and easy to maintain. We worked closely with the client to hand-select darker teak boards that would enhance the warmth and character of the space. The custom teak shower floor was thoughtfully fabricated into two separate panels, making it easy to remove and clean the underside when needed. Designed to butt up seamlessly against one another, the two panels create the appearance of a single, continuous teak floor while offering added convenience for long-term care. Each teak board was carefully selected to ensure consistent quality and color throughout the floor. After fabrication, we applied teak oil to provide added protection and seal the wood, enhancing its natural beauty. The client was committed to yearly maintenance and reapplying oil as needed to keep the floor looking its best.
